Sometimes we need a change for different reasons. I was at that point in 2010 when I realized that I would love to get the job experience of a foreign country and Canada was the country of my choice. Moving to a new country or other city can be a very exciting experience, but sometimes it is also stressful, especially if you are moving away from family and friends. It took me 2 years of research, visiting Canada twice, applying for my work visa, selling all my belongings and then finally the move. When I moved to Canada in 2012 I realized that planning for the move was only half of the battle. I came to Canada with 2 suitcases and 2 cats and once I arrived here I had to find a place where to live, register myself as well as finding a car to buy. Luckily I've experienced such great help and advice from other people which made my start in Canada so much easier. It doesn't matter if you move across the country or from a foreign country, starting somewhere new can be difficult and overwhelming and I know how much planning and research is involved besides finding a new home.   

Relocating to a new city is exciting and probably one of the biggest life changes you can make. It takes a lot of courage and requires a lot of planning, but it is also exciting and gives you the opportunity to start fresh. There are a few challenges that can come with relocations as well, especially when you are relocating for a job or moving from an entirely different country. Before starting in your new adventure, you need to know how much it is going to cost and avoid unwanted costs. List all your potential relocation expenses, but just the costs that are associated with the moving process. Don't include living costs or taxes yet.
